Martin Created Ramble Happy during the 2019 lockdown due to the cancelation of work. At the time Martin had over 80 gigs around the Country including Kevin Cruise comedy gigs and Basil Brush shows canceled. He has always been a keen photographer and rambler and decided to create something new to subsidise performing work in these tricky times.
Martin created and is the founder trustee of the Kevin Cruise Foundation ( Registered Charity No 1183164). The charity provides Christmas theatre tickets (Panto Project) for sick and disadvantaged children & families in the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead. The Foundation also runs Performing Arts workshops throughout the year. Â
All photographs taken by Martin Cabble-Reid, founder of Ramble Happy Ltd and the Kevin Cruise Foundation.
25% of all profits go to the Kevin Cruise Foundation. To read more about Ramble Happy and the Kevin Cruise Foundation...

"It is quite possible to leave your house for a walk in the early morning air and return a different person - beguiled, enchanted"
Read about Olivia's beautiful moment whilst rambling in oz.
I took a leaf out of the @ramblehappy book today and went for a long ramble with the dog. I love walking, however I made a point of really focusing on the beauty around me, my mind and my heart! About 3km in, something happened. I was rambling through the wild, really trying to be mindful and I burst into tears. I realised in that moment that I feel so much sadness inside of me. In fact I’ve felt sad since my grandfather passed away nearly two years ago. I just can’t get that sadness to go away, I’ve noticed it lingering for a while but just keep pushing it away. So there I was leaning up against a beautiful tree, the warm sun on my back, crying from the depths of my body! I haven’t cried like that for a long time, the intense sobbing you can’t control. As I wiped the tears away and got up to walk on, I looked down and in amongst the mud and the leaves was a pure white feather glistening like frost. He was there, right beside me and he wanted me to know.
I popped the feather into my pocket, patted the dog, told her how lucky we are and carried on walking! I rambled on feeling loved, safe in the knowledge that despite feeling like he’s gone, he is absolutely here by my side. Turns out rambling is amazing!! ❤️ |
